Senior Adult Sunday

  • First United Methodist Church Bloomington 219 East 4th Street Bloomington, IN, 47408 United States (map)

We hope you'll join us for this hybrid in-person and live-streamed Classic Worship service at 10:00am in our sanctuary. It is not necessary to RSVP for this service.

The sermon will describe the quality of resiliency, defined as surviving and thriving in the challenges of living and aging). We will look at resiliency in two Biblical examples of Moses and Anna. We are making a short video (to be used as part of the sermon) in which 3 of our senior adults (Mary Bass, Gil Thomas, and Jim Burton) will briefly share their stories of resiliency and how their faith and church community impacted their resiliency. Jim Burton in the video will be sharing about the resiliency of the Food Pantry team during the pandemic. The sermon will wrap up with thoughts about how all of us of any age can develop our spiritual resiliency (or sap).
