Here’s what we’re currently offering for your kids at First Methodist:
SPLASH! VBS is June 17 - 19
VBS is right around the corner! You can register now using this Google Forms link. The full schedule is in the graphic, but one thing we're doing different this year is we're adding a 4:30pm optional "hang out" time where we will have some activities for kids to do in the Green Space. This way kids can play with each other and parents have a larger, optional drop off window before the meal starts at 5:30pm and the full program begins at 6:15pm.
Our theme this year is SPLASH! and our focus will be on Jesus' life and teachings around the Sea of Galilee. We'll also be featuring some water activities and games during our optional 4:30pm hang out time.
SCCAP: Head Start Program
First Methodist is honored to host the SCCAP Head Start preschool program in our facilities. Head Start is a family centered child development program whose mission is to promote school readiness by enhancing the social and cognitive development of children through the provision of educational, health, nutritional, social, and other services to enrolled children and families. Moms At First
Moms at First is a lay-led community group offered in partnership with First United Methodist Church that supports moms and creates a space to share and learn through the journey of motherhood. The group offers semi-annual events and a suite of supportive resources based on the needs of new moms and families, including meals, supplies, check-in calls, and visits. Click here to get involved!
Family Events
There’s nothing quite as beautiful as making memories with your child. First Methodist is happy to provide not only opportunities for spiritual growth, but also opportunities for community and family growth. We offer year round events that you can enjoy as a family.
