We hope you'll join us for this contemplative Communion service at 8:30am in the Great Hall. It is not necessary to RSVP for this service.
Radical Hospitality: Hospitality Begins with God
We are able to extend gracious, radical welcome to others because of the generous welcome we have received from God. The people of Israel were instructed to love the stranger because they had been strangers in the land of Egypt before they experienced God’s liberation. Paul instructed the Romans to “welcome each other, in the same way Christ welcomed you, for God’s glory.” We enter into hospitality because of God’s great love for us. It is not just something we do, but someone we become as we make room for one new person at a time in our lives. We try. We fail. We try again, growing in hospitality by opening a place inside of us before we ever open our door to others.
