You are My Child — Psalms for Special Occasions

Scripture passage: Psalm 2

Since the Psalms were first sung in worship by the people of Israel, it stands to reason that some of them are for special occasions, much like we have Christmas and Easter carols and hymns today. Some were for pilgrims walking to the temple in Jerusalem. Some were for royal weddings. Still others honored the king. And then others pointed to their Messianic hopes. We’ll take a deeper look at the promises of Psalm 2, and how it helps us claim as Christians today to live in the kingdom of God.
