If you enjoy praising God in contemporary worship, we hope you'll join us at our next Common Ground service at 11:45am in our sanctuary! We'll sing upbeat contemporary music, explore Scripture lessons, and hear a message that speaks to faith in action.
Whenever we see a story that’s in all four Gospels, it’s a sign we should pay attention – or even more attention than usual – to what’s going on. Today’s Palm Sunday story is one of those stories. Each Gospel writer gives it his own personal embellishments – that’s human nature. But each version of the story is full of symbols that are meant to show us that something bigger and more important than just a first century road trip is going on here. Throughout Lent, we’ve looked at practices we can cultivate and those we could let go of. Now, on the brink of Holy Week, as Jesus faces a crowd that will turn from adoring to hostile in the course of a week, we turn our own inquiries outward as well, asking ourselves how we can step up to the challenges of a world in need.
