Although Christmas is often called "the most wonderful time of the year," Christmas can be painful and difficult for many individuals. The pain of loss of a loved one, the loneliness of separation from family and friends, the weariness of ill health, the anguish of broken relationships, and the insecurity of unemployment are just a few of the situations of suffering that can make the holiday season difficult.
The Blue Christmas service offered on Tuesday, December 6, at 7:00pm in our Sanctuary offers a time of quiet reflection and remembrance for all who feel burdened and for those who want to express their support for them. The service includes Scripture, contemplative music, silence, candle-lighting, and prayer. The service is available in person and on live stream.
