MLK Day of Service

MLK Day of Service | Great Hall, 9am-11am


Individuals and families of all ages are invited to participate in our MLK morning of service in honor of MLK's birthday on January 17. The morning will start at 9:00 with breakfast snacks, check-in, devotional and prayer, and an introduction to the significance of the day. Participants will then have the following options for service:

Writing letters to elected officials on climate change legislation

  • Writing and/or making cards for shut-ins;

  • Writing and/or making cards for Afghan refugees

  • Making flannel blankets

  • An education corner for social justice will be available and will include books, articles, coloring pages, puzzles, and other resources.

Please register through this Eventbrite link to help us in planning for the day. Feel free to come for the whole morning from 9-11 or any part of it. If you are unable to attend that day or are uncomfortable with being in person, we encourage you to do your service at a time and in a way that works best for you.
